Traders Point Oktoberfest (aka Yuppie Fall Fest)

October 26, 2008

On Sunday, October 26th, Jon, Julia, my mom, and I joined some friends at Traders Point Creamery for their annual Oktoberfest. We met up with our friends Kristen, Steve, Angela, and her nephew, Jack to spend the afternoon enjoying your typical fall activities. It was like something out of 'Real Simple' or 'Oprah' magazine about how one should spend quality time with your family on a beautiful, crisp autumn day. Imagine eating brats on paper plates with sour kraut and homemade brownies, moms taking pictures of kids and pumpkins, dads drinking beer from local breweries (how we concluded they got the dads there in the first place!), hay rides, meeting the farm animals, fun Polka Boy entertainment, and, of course, finishing the day off with the famous Traders Point ice cream. And, just like about everything else we do these days, we took lots of pictures!

The mommies enjoyed some beer, too!

The festival goers enjoying Polka Boy. Notice the hay ride in the background. See, the perfect fall party!

The best part, I caught Jon singing with the band!
