Riley Dietitian Baby Shower
March 2 , 2008
On Sunday, my dietitian coworkers threw me a wonderful baby shower at Benihana. It was such a fun and different idea for a shower. We all got to sit around a big table while 2 different chefs cooked our food on the grills in front of us. I love Japanese steak houses, it is so fun to watch all of their different cooking tricks, and everyone gave a shot at using the chopsticks. I have to admit, I think I was the best with the chopsticks! Everyone brought such nice gifts for Julia... cute summer outfits, feeding accessories (of course!), and other adorable baby accessories. Then, to top it off, they all chipped in and purchased our pack and play. This was totally unexpected and a great surprise! I work with a group of wonderful women! Here are a few of the pictures from Benihana...

A chicken made out of egg, how clever!

A fried rice heart.

The popular onion volcano, you can't go to a Japanese restaurant without seeing an onion volcano! |
Brooke giving it her all with the chopsticks!

I think Nicole did a better job posing with the chopsticks than she did eating with them! |

Caught in the act... |
Me and JoAnne giving the chopsticks a try. |
My friend Jessica gave me these adorable butterflies to hang in Julia's room.

One of my fellow dietitians, Pam, put together this adorable basket full of gifts for Julia. I was truly impressed with the handmade burp clothes, she sewed colorful ribbon onto white cloth diapers. So creative!
