29 weeks... January 28-February 3, 2008
It's amazing 2008 is here already (not to mention February, I'm a little behind on updating the site!) The craziness of the holidays made the pregnancy go by really fast. It seems like the last several weeks are just a blur. It is hard to believe that I am officially in the third trimester now, with only about 11 weeks left to go. We have been in high gear now trying to get the nursery ready, taking baby classes, and just mentally trying to wrap our brains around the fact that we are going to be PARENTS in just about 2 months.
As for the nursery, we finally finished painting it last week. It took much longer than we thought it would, as home projects usually do! It took 2 coats of primer and 3 coats of yellow paint to cover the gray and red walls from Jon's old office. Finally, after probably way too much time on the internet researching, we bought a crib and changing table. My mom gave us a dresser, that was mine and my sister's growing up, to use for Julia. It was harder than I thought it would be to find a crib we like and matched the dresser, one that is sturdy, and a decent piece of furniture that didn't cost a fortune. The crib and table are still in their boxes, hopefully we'll get those put together this week. My sister, Kyle, is hosting my first shower for me in Toledo next weekend. I'd love to get the furniture put together by then, so I can easily put things away when I get back to Indy. It should be an interesting adventure getting the crib together, the box is huge and quite overwhelming. Jon, with the help of our neighbor Jeff, somehow got it up the stairs and into the room. I'm not kidding, it is huge, the box takes up just about one whole wall of the room!
